Hi,  I'm John Marsi -- Founder and Lead Djay/Emcee for Elite Lighting & Sound!

About Me,

I grew up in a musical family in the heart of New York City's Greenwich Villiage and began playing instruments and singing at an early age.  I embraced my parents love of music and found it only natural to absorb all I could while growing up in such a creative environment.  I attended the Missouri, Military, Academy and  performed regularly with our award winning Drum and Bugle Corps and Marching Band for everything from NFL HAlf Time Events to Presidential Inaugurations.  Once bitten by the performance bug... I found myself leaning toward a career in the performance arts.  I went on the the University Of North Texas to study Percussion and Jazz Performance and then moved to the Los Angeles area in pursuit of a career in music production. 

Over the years, I've been lucky enough to tour extensively playing engagements in places like LA, New York, Las Vegas, all over Central Europe.  My list of live performances, either as a Djay/Emcee, Drummer or Vocalist are in the thousands!  Elite Lighting & Sound is built on this experience featuring the best in theatrical performance executed with military like prescision where it counts.  However... when it's time to get your dance floor rolling, we will use our room reading skills and your best musical choices (as per your selections withing the Elite Timeline Builder) to get everyone up and dancing the night away!

We Always Have A Plan "B"! 

WE LEAVE NOTHING TO CHANCE, are well rehearsed and prepared for anything. We always bring back-up gear because you never know when something could fail or an outdoor ceremony get's rained out leaving everything inopperable and drenched at the last minute.  

The following is a true story showing one of the many reasons why you should choose to work with wedding professionals that ALWAYS have a Plan B! .  

The weatherman was wrong, we've had everything covered in plastic and have waited it out but... the rain is coming down in buckets.  Finally, after about 20 minutes past our planned ceremony time the bride says "No way am I going out there in that torential downpour to be married in this expensive dress!" Guess what? It's time for plan B! The wedding coordinator comes to the Elite Team hysterical and says "In ten minutes time the ceremony is going to happen in the main lobby.. what are we gonna do?"  "Not to worry" we say.. our light tech is already on her way out to the van now with a bellman to load up and bring in a pre-staged, perfectly organized batery powered back-up system that will save the day! ...  And our happy couple lived happily aver after.  Seriously, f we're there for your special day, we will have a Plan B!  Things have had to drastically change during an event efore.. and it'll happen again.  With Elite at the helm... You're ALWAYS Covered!
